Self-Employed Cleaning Partner
ShapeU Cleaning is looking for reliable, experienced self-employed cleaning partners to support our growing domestic, commercial and property cleaning services across Sheffield and surrounding South Yorkshire.
We’re interested in professional cleaners who take pride in their work, deliver excellent customer service and want to build a long-term working relationship.
The role
Cleaning jobs are offered based on customer requirements and your availability. You can accept or decline individual jobs and continue working with your own customers or other businesses.
- Complete domestic, commercial, deep and end-of-tenancy cleaning jobs to the agreed requirements.
- Provide professional customer service, careful work and clear communication.
- Bring your own transport, cleaning equipment and normally cleaning products; a van is preferable for larger jobs.
- Hold public liability insurance, keep agreed appointments and report any issues or additional requirements.
Payment and working arrangement
A fixed fee is agreed before each job is accepted. Weekly Friday payments are proposed for completed jobs, subject to receiving the agreed job record or invoice.
This is a self-employed opportunity, not an employed position. Cleaning partners are responsible for their own tax, National Insurance, transport, equipment and business insurance, and may work for other customers or businesses. The working arrangement must reflect genuine self-employment.

We’re looking for a reliable, observant person to carry out inspections when required and help maintain agreed cleaning standards.
Responsibilities
- Visit properties when inspections are required.
- Check completed cleaning jobs against agreed standards.
- Take photographs and complete inspection reports.
- Identify missed areas or work requiring attention.
- Report customer concerns and cleaning issues.
- Provide feedback to cleaning partners, supervise staff and carry out occasional spot checks.
Payment
£30 starting fee per inspection
- £30 starting payment per standard inspection.
- Larger properties or more detailed inspections may attract £40–£50, agreed in advance.
- Any additional travel expenses must be agreed before the visit.
- Payment is per completed inspection or assignment, not a permanent monthly salary.
- Flexible self-employed work, with inspections offered as and when required.
